Kids Campus and the U of L: A Unique Relationship
In 2009, the University of Lethbridge posted a Request for Interest (RFI) in the Lethbridge Herald Newspaper open to businesses interested in operating an on-campus daycare. We were confident in our success in the competition due the many positive testimonials from our program at A Child’s Second Look Daycare (fondly called ‘Second Look’). Our decision to apply has taken us on an exciting adventure!
Located directly west of Siksika House, the facility construction and furnishing was completed in November 2009. Once we were chosen as the e xternal operator, we entered into a lease arrangement with the U of L, and on January 4, 2010, Kids Campus opened as a licensed daycare program.
Given the long term financial commitment to the construction of the facility, and with the understanding that high quality programming is expected from a campus daycare, we strive to exceed these expectations. Because of this, Kids Campus continues to be a valuable addition to the campus , and we consider our program to be very fortunate to be situated within such an inspiring learning environment.
